SFP - Sunday Issue - Others Having the Same Issues?
@Simon_Amazon @Julia_Amzn @Julia_Amazon
We have a minor but on-going issue with SFP Performance. It INCORRECTLY shows over the last 30 days we sent Late Shipments, all via Royal Mail, and all on a Sunday. It is NOT correct, ALL were shipped on time, even the Tracking proves that. (We opened a SS Case: 10174733572 - but usually gets nowhere!).
It has taken some time to investigate, and ALL were shipped on time, even Amazon tracking shows the parcels were scanned by Royal Mail on the date of shipping, so all on time for shipping. Each has a link to the Royal Mail website and that shows First Scan was on the correct date, NONE are late.
There is a fundamental issue though with SFP on a Sunday, as I note ALL the issues are on a Sunday. This needs a major change by someone high up on the SFP Team. DPD collect on a Sunday, and scan every parcel individually, so most times DPD are ok (except the time they did not turn up).
The issues are always when DPD do not cover a Postcode, then there is ALWAYS a problem. This is what needs to change. If DPD do not cover the Postcode, then Amazon should alter to being shipped on a Monday, NOT a Sunday, and show as a Standard 3 to 5 day Delivery time to many Postcodes (Off Shore, Highlands, Channel Islands, etc).
As virtually all of the Postcodes when you cannot use DPD are to Off Shore Islands, or the Highlands of Scotland. That means deliveries by Evri, or Royal Mail are not usually only 2 days as estimated. Plus, as nothing moves until Monday, if Evri or Royal Mail accept the parcels on a Sunday, that would really be only on time still if arriving in 1 day (as Amazon show a Tuesday delivery). Therefore, nearly every time, those parcels will be delivered late, according to Amazon (Royal Mail and Evri, say those are NOT 2-day delivery addresses, even if sent on Tracked 24 / Next Day Services).
Amazon show to use either Royal Mail, or Evri, and no one else if to those Postcodes not covered by DPD. BUT, on a Sunday, both should take the parcels, but they do not usually go anywhere until Monday. It should mean all should still be scanned to say with them on time, so unsure why any show as late, I have asked SS to please INVESTIGATE and RESOLVE.
We know though most will not arrive by Tuesday, as in the few orders in my Case No.
This has a knock-on effect: BUY BOX ISSUE: As Amazon wrongly think these off-shore and Highland address Postcodes should still arrive in 1 to 2 days, and they do not arrive on time, of course as often a boat cannot even get to their address until the weather calms down, Amazon then alter the Buy Box to show ALL deliveries for all orders can take 2 days, so then we lose on many orders, as we no longer win the Buy Box, as other Sellers and FBA gain all the orders. Had Amazon correctly shown as a Standard order to those Postcodes (3 to 5 day delivery), then there would not be an issue.
I cannot see a way of altering that, is there?

The other point is: SFP using Royal Mail. We work out a price using Royal Mail Tracked 24. Sometimes it says that an Order only has the option to use Evri. Previously given a reason of Amazon track other parcels to Postcodes and can see many Royal Mail parcels arriving more than the Next Day. BUT, why then use Evri, as the same does not apply to them, we know Evri have a terrible track record, we hardly use Evri (only if no other option) as we can see only 23.1% arrived on time in the last 30 days. It would be far better to use Royal Mail, but we can't as Buy Shipping not available, so that would then be a Defect against us. There have been only 4 defects in the last 30 days with Royal Mail (as it happens, all the ones on the Sunday going to remote Postcodes), and far more parcels, so a good track record, if only they could be used. It could be a few more defects if using RM to some of those Postcodes, where no option, but surely still better or as good as Evri.
Why don't Amazon alter to allow Royal Mail, and not just Evri to certain Postcodes. Royal Mail literally cover all Postcodes, so if an issue to a certain Postcode, just estimate to the Buyer, a 1 to 2 day delivery if that is the only option, but to all other Postcodes still show as estimated for the Next Day.
