Getting Items Shipped from Supplier directly to FBA warehouse

To make a long story short, I live in an apartment and cannot receive deliveries on a normal basis. IS it possible for items to get shipped directly from Supplier to the FBA warehouse? Noob here and I apologize. Nevermind, read about 3PL and prep centers.

Hi @Seller_rCnTkfjfr76vC,

Yes, you can have your supplier ship directly to Amazon! Under "Select products" at Send FBA inventory to Amazon, it mentions you can set your "ship-from address" as your supplier's warehouse when creating a shipping plan.

Just keep in mind that any inventory sent to fulfillment centers needs to follow Amazon's requirements. As noted in Ship products to Amazon, not following the approved shipping plan can lead to delays or restrictions on future shipments.

If you're working with an international supplier, there are some additional things to consider. The "Importer of record" and "Duties, taxes, and shipping costs" sections at Delivering imports to Amazon explain that:

  • You'll need an importer of record (Amazon doesn't take on this role)
  • Shipments must use Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) terms
  • Amazon can't accept any collect charges for duties, taxes, or shipping

Glad to see you've already found information about prep centers - they can be really helpful in making sure everything meets Amazon's requirements!

Best regards,

Michael
