Provide Country of Origin information by December 2024

Hi, Folks! Hope you guys give me some clarity on how to handle this.

Amazon sent me an email attesting the following:

"We’ve identified that some of your product listings don’t have Country of Origin information.

European Union and United Kingdom customs legislation legally requires Amazon to collect Country of Origin information for products in ALL of your selling stores shipped through FBA Export programs from non-EU countries into the EU, and into the UK.

In the coming months, product listings without a Country of Origin will start to be restricted from cross-border sales"

1st - I do not ship through FBA Export programs from EUA into the EU, and into the UK. My store only sells in the US.

2nd - I just have only 1 product that I sell thru a regular FBA program - which is a private label product and it does have a country of origin on file.

Why Am I receiveing this notification ??

Thanks for reaching out. It could be that they are sending this to any seller that sells through FBA. If you have questions on if your product is effected, please contact Seller Support. If you still need help after contacting their team, create a new post to the Fulfill Orders team as they handle all things FBA and can provide further insights.

I recently created a post -->HERE<-- about the Country of Origin message. I am working with the team to find out more information about the message but essentially what I have gathered is providing COO information is a mandatory requirement for FBA listings. If you believe that you must not be required to provide the COO information for your listings, contact Selling Partner Support to check on your eligibility.
