UK to EU orders not taking into account UK bank holiday dates for ship by dates
We from UK to EU merchant fulfilled, we have done for some years but we find that EU orders don't follow UK holiday schedule.
At the moment we add an extra shipping leadtime on bank holiday weekends so orders come in for Tuesday rather than a Monday bank holiday for example. If we don't we receive orders for shipment on the bank holiday, and then get late shipment penalty.
When I look at the EU marketplace shipping settings, they only show holidays specifc to that region, even though the default shipping address is UK and is the only shipping location we've used.
I can't help feeling we must be missing something, is there some other setting I should be looking at?

No - this is correct. Holidays always follow the marketplace location, not the seller location.
For sites outside the UK, you would need to adjust when it is a bank holiday in the UK. On the plus side, you can say you ship on days that are bank holidays in the EU but not in the UK.
