Date difference on Monthly Reports (Date Range Transaction Report) 7 days difference
Hi
Every month I download the Date Range Transaction Report and Account Activity, to create our internal sales invoice. In September I noticed a difference between expected sales from the Business Reports and the Transaction Report, 25% difference. I expect some anomalies but not this much!! I've tried to contact customer support on numerous occasions but they don't answer my query and ghost me.
Upon further investigation today I have noticed from 18th September Amazon report transactions 7 days later.
September Date Range Transaction Report
Eg. Order X, date/time = 26 Sept 2024, when I look up the Order ID the shipped date was actually 18.9.2024
November Date Range Transaction Report
Eg: Order X, date/time = 1st November, when I look up the Order ID the shipped date was 25.10.2024
Anyone experienced the same thing, can Amazon just change dates of reporting data? It's going to put all our forecasting and reporting out....

Hi Kate (@Seller_nAisT7nd1lzj9),
The discrepancy you're seeing is because Business Reports use the order date, while the Transaction and Account Activity reports are based on the tax point, which is tied to the shipping date.
This isn't Amazon "changing dates" but rather a difference in reporting focus: one reflects when the order was placed, and the other reflects the point of delivery or service.
Kind regards, Michael

The answer provided by your colleague above is correct. Here you have some help pages that could help too:
Why do my numbers seem different across the various reports?
