Order defect rate

Hi everyone,

I'm a new seller on Amazon and launched my first product on May 14, 2024. Over the past month, from May 14 to June 14, I've had 27 sales, but unfortunately, one order was defective. Now, Amazon has sent me a message stating that my account is at risk because my defect rate is 6.50%.

As a new seller, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Does anyone have advice on how to handle this situation and reduce my defect rate? Any tips on improving product quality and maintaining a healthy account would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help.

It will depend on the reason for the ODR, as there are 3 metrics which make up the ODR.

Can you please share the Order ID and the reason for the ODR?

If you haven´t already done it, I would recommend you to take a look at this help page which provides detailed guidance related to ODR.

Kind regards,

Sarah.
