Account Health Rating Steadily Declining Despite Meeting All Requirements
In the last 6 months of 2024, our company spent time improving our Account Health Rating. We had a few issues listed due to pricing (a different discussion on its own) and addressed these issues. Since August 1st, 2024, we have had zero policy compliance issues. On October 18th, our Account Health Rating was 476. After that, every few days, our rating would drop 2-4 points.
As of now, our rating sits at 392, MUCH less than it was just a few months ago. There are no policy compliance issues, and the few A-to-Z Guarantee Claims we have received have been decided in our favor by Amazon. I check the rating, our feedback manager, our shipping score, and our claims daily. Our Account Health Rating declines every few days even when nothing else has changed. We rarely receive negative reviews (maybe once every few months), and all orders ship the same or the very next day with Amazon's trusted carriers. Our OTDR is in good standing (currently 98.17%), and our valid tracking rate stays at 100%.
I opened a case about this and was told that since our Account Health was still in "good standing" (score over 200), there was nothing that needed to be fixed.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a bug? We've worked too hard getting our score to almost 500 for it to decline like this with no explanation.

Since this number is based largely on sales (AFAIK, that's the only thing that gets it over 200), if your sales numbers have dropped (and it's units, not price), then the number will go down. It's a rolling average, although I don't recall if it's 90 or 180 days, but especially if sales are slowing down compared to Q4, that would be reflected in your score dropping.
As long as you are doing nothing wrong, your unit sales is the only thing this score is showing.

Since a lot of it is based on units sold, IMHO it is another way Amazon tries to make us sell more.

That number is based on sales numbers . The more you sell , the higher that number will go and vice -versa.

Hello @Seller_lg1zkfEIEzzb8
Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent fluctuation you have observed with your account health rating. I understand the concern given the lack of violations you have seen, so I do want to provide some insight to alleviate this.
As mentioned by @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, the metric is going to look at your sales volume over a 180 day period. It will award 4 points for every 200 orders that are successfully fulfilled. The minimum base for the metric will be 200 so if your metric is still above this, your account will not be considered at risk of deactivation. The decrease you are seeing now will likely be due to a drop in sales if you have not had any recent violations.
Have you noticed any specific drop in your sales over the previous 180 days? If you had a higher volume around this time, the points will start drop as we move forward in the time window. The recommendation will be to continue to monitor the metric and refer back to this thread if you do observe any violations or additional concerns that you would like assistance with.
Best,
Atlas

Amazon is doing it to all as Amazon wants us all gone now they us AI to manipulate listings sales to Amazon sold items we sellers are now in the way of total mind control manipulation!

Same with ours, and we were also confused by this in previous years. No longer, we've figured it out.
Here's how it works:
-Amazon adds 4 points for every 200 "successful" orders.
-However, those earned points are only temporary , NOT permanent , and are erased at the end of every 180 days ( 6 months) on a rolling basis .
-So the points drop you're seeing are points that were earned back in July 2024 and are now being erased by Amazon as they get to be 180 days old .
-You also earn 4 new points for every 200 new Orders, but most likely your number of Orders now is not as high ast hey were 180 days ago. So you're losing points faster than you're gaining them in summer
-So in effect if you are experiencing less number of total Orders now than you were 6 months ago , you should expect your Account Health score to drop . If you are like many sellers , your sales Orders are much lower in January than they are in June, July hence the drop each December, January.
-In our case we typically peak around a score of 400 each year in July/ August and then watch our numbers drop into the high 200's in January and then climb back up in a predictable cycle .
-Unfairly, they also do not seem add back any points taken away for any Performance "Violations" when they get to be 180 days old, which would be the correct and fair thing to do.
It sucks that Amazon takes away hard earned points, but it's their way of making sure they always have complete control over all sellers by never allowing any to have an untouchable Health Rating, which gives them power over warnings, violations and suspensions. In other words it's their way of never allowing you to feel comfortable . It could be construed as a good thing keeping the bad sellers out, but to us it's reminiscent of our Catholic school days of 50 years ago when a nun or priest would whack you over the head from behind with no warning, and no reason, just to make sure you were never comfortable.
Focus on your business, and make sure you always have other sales avenues available to you so that you can sleep at night and not worry so much about the "head whackers"
Make sense?

not a bug its automatic late deliveries, amazon wants you to spend more of your profit on expensive shipping to make your buyers happier
