My first question is (although not really related to your query) - what is the value of the item ?
There is no point in using ‘signed for’ if value is less than £20, as postage costs more and not necessary.

How do you know it has not left the PO ? Do you mean it just has not had a delivery scan ?

As long as you have the proof of posting receipt when you took the parcel to the PO and it was scanned, you claim from RM.
