Citibank Credit Cards No Longer Accept Amazon Seller Central Requests For Payment

About 4 months ago, we began receiving Seller Central payment errors "Invalid Payment Method". I contacted Seller Central support and each time, and they advised to contact my credit card company (Citibank).

Multiple times over 4 months, Citibank has assured us that there are no blocks on our Citi Business credit cards.

Today was the first day a Citibank Fraud Department support member let us know that while the credit card is fine everywhere else, they no longer accept requests for payment from Amazon Seller Central.

Incredible.

Time to dump Citibank.

Hopefully a helpful update for those currently caught in the completely non-transparent "Invalid Payment Method" support loop on Seller Central.

I would like to request that Amazon make this ridiculous Citibank policy public on their public help pages, and elsewhere, first, to help all those unaware of what their Citibank credit card decline issues actually are, second, to publicly shame the idiocy on the Citibank side.

Actually, banks do this if there have been too many charge backs and stop payments. As Amazon will take funds from every newbie suspended seller until they are bled dry, many are forced to go to their CC and stop payment. It is the only way to stop Amazon from taking every dime you have left. I actually respect City for drawing a line.

Whoa... thanks for this update. I just got the credit card denied email and couldn't understand it. I even submitted a Help Ticket, and we all know how useful those are!

I'll change to a different brand of credit card. Thanks for the update! Super helpful!
