It's about 6 weeks yet, not a couple (!), but no, as far as I know, no further communication or update.

It's highly likely Amazon will bring it in without further notice. They went through all that a year ago and gave many sellers another full year to get their businesses ready. I'm sure we'll see a lot of people complaining on the forum but no one can really complain if they're not ready now.

It is better for Amazon to remove this policy because all of us we will have (or already have) financial problems expecially on how to pay our suppliers, bring new stock in, pay our taxes. Hopefully God will helped us all. We all need to do something to prevent this

We all need to get together and inform Amazon again about this policy to be ended near soon.

My issue with the whole DD+7 is that it shouldn't be applied to FBA orders in my view. If Amazon want some security against seller fulfilled orders, then fine it's their platform, their reputation, etc. BUT if Amazon have your stock, Amazon control every aspect of the process from picking the order to customer service post sale, why should my money be held for 7 days post delivery?

Also regarding the comments made about disbursements taking 4 working days...it still baffles me that I can disburse money from our EU accounts and receive it next day yet it takes 4 working days to receive UK to UK disbursements...

I fully expect it to come in on that date with no fanfare.

As to its validity - I can understand it for new sellers, maybe for the first year until some history of trade exists. But we have been operating on Amazon since 2006 and have never not had enough funds to cover any outstanding issues, so it does annoy me that they say they are doing this to make every seller the same. All sellers are NOT the same.

As far as I can see all they are doing is driving people away from their platform - show me a legacy seller where Amazon have lost money due to them taking money out and Amazon having to refund more than was still held form their own funds.

Certainly we have been pushing non-Amazon business much harder in the last 12 months and will continue to do so until we no longer need to be here.

Even though we have been expecting it, the time of year for it to begin could not be worse. Sellers are trying to ramp up for the busy quarter and the cash flow impact really affects that in a negative way. I thought there may have been enough complaints in the background to official sources for it to go away for good but Amazon seem immune to that kind of pressure.

I think this plus the rampant returns abuse happening will push a lot of sellers over the edge. Unfortunately not the ones the platform needs to get rid of either.
