Free returns policy is the only policy on Amazon or Can the customer be charged postage for returns?

Hi,

Is it possible to switch to a return policy on Amazon where the customer pays for postage while returning the item?

No.

IF the return reason means the customer is liable for the return postage they are in effect charged for it. They aren’t charged upfront as such (you are charged for all Prepaid Return labels that amazon supply) but when the refund is applied (either through Refund at First Scan or otherwise) the return label cost is deducted from the refund.

You can exclude any items over £100 from the Prepaid Return Label scheme - however, depending on the return reason, the customer shouldn’t have to pay for the return anyway.

It depends on the reason for return.

Then, unless it is clothing (which are free returns anyway) the buyer will have to pay for return postage.
If you check out the return policy there is a list of what the seller is responsible for and which are the customer’s responsibility.
