UK Account Closed – Funds Held in Reserve (£4,993.05) – No Response From Verification Team
My UK seller account was declined/closed during verification.
Seller Support transferred my case (12565862812) to the Verification Team on 08 May 2026.
More than two months have passed since the transfer, and the balance of £4,993.05 remains held in reserve.
My account has been deactivated since 29 September 2025 and well over 90 days have passed.
I am not requesting account reinstatement. I simply want to receive the £4,993.05 currently held in reserve and would appreciate an update regarding the release of these funds.

Since your account is already closed and Amazon has not resolved this, I would seek independent legal advice and consider sending a formal Letter Before Action. Amazon’s internal reporting deadline may not prevent legal action; in England and Wales, many simple contract claims have a six-year limitation period. Keep all correspondence, case records and payment statements as evidence.

Amazon are a corporate disaster, I used to sell and had issues with them. I closed the account and now claim they wont disburse the remaining funds due to fraud, illegal activity etc etc even though was trading for 2 years. They just use any BS excuse so as to not payout. Avoid amazon at all costs, use ebay or own website its far better and safer

take them to small claims court. Holding your money for this length of time is theft.

I believe Amazon has treated sellers unfairly and has failed to meet the standards of transparency and accountability that a marketplace of its size should uphold.
In our case, Amazon withheld more than £26,000 of our business funds for over eight months. After we initiated formal legal action and pursued our complaint through the Ombudsman, more than £21,000 was eventually released. However, approximately £4,900 is still being retained as a reserve.
From our experience, sellers should carefully protect their rights, keep detailed records of all communications, and, where appropriate, escalate unresolved disputes to the Ombudsman and other relevant regulatory or legal authorities. Businesses should not hesitate to use the legal remedies available to them when they believe they have been treated unfairly.
Based on our experience, I encourage other sellers to carefully evaluate the risks of relying too heavily on a single marketplace and to ensure they understand the protections available to them under the law.
