We want your suggestions!
Hi Sellers,
3 Months ago, we launched a category called Quick Tips. It was created to share tips that addressed your frequently asked questions.
We are looking for your help! Our goal is to drive conversation and build community within the Forums. What topics do you want to chat about, so we can share some tips that will help you as an Amazon seller?
Please share your comments below. We look forward to hearing from you!

When are amazon going to stop breaching competiton laws, particularly in relation to price fixing, ie closing listing for ‘pricing errors’ and removing the buy box if amazon deems the price is too high?
Seller_MKi6wqe68YZuu
Ten years back there was a thriving forum community.
Amazon throttled it.
So maybe step back and let us get on with it.
Seller_ZPjajjMXjCNQH
speaks for itself really - been years trying to sort this
sadly this is jsut one example of the daily nonsense we need to put up with as sellers and getting no help from seller support

@Jessica
It would be really good to know if you are able to act upon / forward / raise any of the issues and suggestions that have been mentioned here, and that we are not just creating a long list of seemingly unsurmountable problems that sellers face.
As has been pointed out by several folks, many of the issues we face are changes needed to be made by Amazon, not tips for sellers.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but here it goes
Customers don’t return the full item & get a full refund.
This needs to be changed
Seller_Yja9oH7DLHk2I
I had an example of this this morning. Seller couldn’t work out how to return the item so called Amazon. They opened an A to Z. They populated the fields as follows.
Why is this happening?
The customer claimed that they did not receive the order and we were unable to confirm shipment and/or delivery. If you have not shipped the order, we recommend that you do not ship it, because the customer has been refunded.
Customer comments: Bought this item but it is damaged in the post. I would like to exchange it for another copy. Please can you package it up well so it’s safe
Automatically granted. - What a joke.
Seller_DROodOAYHftnc
So absolutely blatant lies from CS - outrageous - I would not let this one rest, if it was me.
Seller_Yja9oH7DLHk2I
We have debited the amount from your account and have counted the claim against your Order Defect Rate.
T’riffic
This a great example of how messed up their policies are. Even if it hadn’t arrived it should not be counted against my ODR as it was posted with shipping bought on Amazon.
Seller_tRuvBEHDedp4q
Yes same thing happened twice with me recently. Seller Support just transfer the case to Claims. Claims just say they uphold their decision to award A-Z without realising that as Buy Shipping was used the A-Z should not affect ODR metric (but does), Account Health team say they are powerless to do anything and advice to contact Seller Support. Contacting Seller Support by telephone is useless - constant random disconnections and when you do get to speak to someone the line is so muffled its impossible to understand what they are saying. Using the chat window is just as bad - they transfer to another colleague who then closes the chat window!
Round and round in circles.

Probably 90% of the issues on Amazon would be resolved, if they had a decent support team in place.
So many of the problems come back to this.
Poor communication is one of the biggest issues.
Dealing with support, is like knocking your head against a brick wall repeatedly!
Seller_QVpjrN1BsybDT
Surely you want to know what topics we want to chat about!!
They come up time after time on this forum. The problem is that nobody at amazon seems to want to do anything about the problems that sellers have.
The seller polls that come up every few days are clearly in response to the latest problems that sellers have encountered-- so somebody at Amzon knows what our problems are. What you are asking seems to be duplicating what you should already know.
Instead of asking us what we want to chat about how about actually trying to do something about what you already know
Seller_7XKkvpKqKRaqK
keep postage labels longer than 30 days as a to z can be opened for longer and cant prove anything without the tracking of the postage label
Seller_tRuvBEHDedp4q
I have not read all the posts but I have read a good few - and you know I am unable to find ones which actually address the original question/post.
The original post was asking to share tips for Sellers - but it quickly descended into bashing Amazon and asking for changes which to be honest are very worthy and we all want but not actually a tip for a seller.
Now here is a tip for a seller - get support from a very good mental health professional if you intend selling on Amazon, as Amazon offer very little support and will change goalposts and policies and make you worry about their metric scores to the point where it will drive you to distraction. Thats the best tip I can offer
Seller_yE7wQLht2Ut2g
Here is a further suggestion to go along with the many others that other sellers have brought up.
How about investing in your faulty AI bots I spend all of my Amazon time now trying to fix items being suppressed removed or blocked from being listed it is now over 18 months since I was able to list a product from scratch despite getting new goods in on a weekly basis if it is not already in the catalogue I no longer even try to list.
3 examples of recently removed goods Nottingham Forest Fc metal street sign removed due to pesticide violation
Manchester City Gymbag and a Liverpool backpack removed Food violations every day my inventory gets smaller due to the out of control AI bots. Over 85% of my inventory is either suppressed removed or blocked from being listed.
My main suggestions is that sellers do not want to chat about what I say in this post or the other posts above they want you @Jessica or any other rep from Amazon to start taking actions about the problems being reported to you in this thread so that we as sellers can start to function as sellers.
Jessica_Amazon_
Hi all,
I want to thank everyone that has contributed to this thread. The time you have taken to voice your views and opinions is very appreciated.
There have been many posts regarding various aspects of selling on Amazon. Some of you know that I have been supporting the forums for some time (almost 10 years to save you time checking!). The Forums and Amazon have been through many changes and updates over the years, and I am committed to sharing your feedback to help continue to make Amazon the best place for you to sell.
The purpose of the thread was to gather information so that we could do two things. 1) Ensure topics posted in Quick Tips are addressing questions that you are answering on a regular basis so that you can direct other sellers to the posts, and, 2) try and share lesser known tips and information that can help you as a seller on Amazon overall.
This thread will now be closed but you can contact me directly with any comments you have.
Have a lovely evening,
Jessica
