Buyer misses all delivery attempts, gets a refund from Amazon, receives goods

Hi

A buyer has seemingly missed all delivery attempts, applies for a refund via Amazon, gets the refund, and within 24 hours of being awarded the refund miraculously now signs for the package.

They’ve damaged my account health, stolen from me, and Amazon has found in their favour. Is it possible to re-open a case once a decision is made? this is fraud, theft and totally wrong. A further question, is this issue widespread? who else has been caught like this?

Thanks
Phil

Small claims court action? You can do this on-line.
Send the buyer a letter before action etc.

If the item has subsequently been delivered via a tracked service, you can do a few things.
Firstly contact the buyer and state you’re pleased they’ve received the order, ask them to confirm, you’ll then have message confirmation of receipt of goods.
If they do confirm, supply this message and screen-shot of the tracking delivery signature and appeal the case, if an A-Z case was opened. You can request the buyer’s account is re-charged for the order. if they don’t reply, supply the tracking verification, but also open a case with SS and request the buyer account is reviewed for a high levle of INR claims - you may have encountered a serial scammer, in which case they need to be highlighted as such.

You can reopen the case, but i am sure, amazon will advise you to contact the buyer and ask them to return the item or to give amazon permission to charge their card for the item.

It has worked for me, one time only.

Obtaining goods by deception. Illegal. Small claims court then esculate to county court.

Sounds like a planned purchase to me.

Firstly when the customer receives a dispatch notification via email you would have thought the customer would make provisions for deliver?

Why would you deliberately be unavailable to accept the delivery on several occasions and then raise an A-Z claim?

You could drop an email to seller-performance@amazon.co.uk

Its happened to me and probably all other Amazon sellers, theres nothing you can do besides small claims court, but whos gonna be bothered to do that, we’re all screwed, Paul

Appeal the claim to have the decision reversed. In case that the appeal gets rejected, another option is to e-mail the Managing Director and they will reimburse you within a few hours.
