Shipment To Amazon Germany

Hi
Anyone using courier to send inventory to Amazon Germany I have created shipping plan on seller central but there is no option to send small parcels using Amazon partner courier only pallet shipment allowed. I only got 1 box 18kg so doest make sense to using pallet service.

does anyone else know an option for shipping in the meantime as I don’t have pallets to ship

Has anyone got any good recommendations?

I got this reply after a few attempts.

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

Starting on January 1, 2021 there will be an updated workflow for shipments between the UK and EU using the Amazon Partnered Carrier programme: https:// sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/201119120

Sellers will be required to be customs compliant when shipping goods across the UK-EU border – for details, visit Prepare your Amazon business for Brexit: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gc/sell-online/brexit?ref_=brexfhp

Once you have booked your shipment, new steps are required to clear customs. For more information, visit Cross-border shipment workflow frequently asked questions: https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/G858C88X5ZREBCG2?referral=A1CRYG1WIJWQJ6_A2NHDEF94ZXC8B

After your shipment is picked up, UPS will arrange export clearance in the country of dispatch and will deliver the shipment to the customs border of the country of arrival. UPS’ brokerage services will manage the clearance of your shipment, either directly (direct representation) or indirectly (indirect representation).

You might want to contact UPS to create an occasional account. This is not a mandatory step before creating a shipment, but might help to expedite the process once you are ready to ship inventory. To set up an account, contact UPS via their website: https://www.ups.com/gb/en/Home.page

Please let us know how we did.

Any updates on when the partner carrier option (UPS) will become available? Still not available it seems. I assume we will be asked to enter EU EORI, customs value, country of origin and HS info prior to completing shipment and printing of labels.

I have had a reply again. It still appears to be suspended though.

Please be informed that as a result of the delays due to the French Government temporarily closing its border with the UK, and the introduction of an upcoming customs border for Brexit, Amazon Partnered carrier UPS cannot fully support cross border shipments and are temporarily suspending Partnered Carrier small parcel service for shipments between the UK and EU.

However, upon investigation, it was seen that as of Jan 4, 2021, UPS will resume UPS standard service in both directions between the UK and the continental Europe.

Has anyone worked out how to do this yet?

I am looking into the pallets service now. I have given up with the parcels. No one at Amazon has got a clue what is going on.

I have a UPS account and ship small cases weighing 12kg

Before Brexit it was costing me around £8.00 per box to ship to Germany with UPS.

Its now gone up to £14.00 for a single shipment as UPS are charging a £3.15 charge per shipment to clear customs…

It will be more cost efective for me to send 20 boxes in a shipment as it looks like the £3.15 charge is per shipment regardles of how many boxes .
I can get it down to £9.75 per box by shipping larger quantities in obe shipment.

How does this compare to the amazon partnered charges as ive never had to use this service ?

Or has anybody managed to get a better price than £9.75 per box with DPD or similar quality couriers?

The whole thing is a monumentous ballache but im hoping that by July normal service will resume, with Amazon able to ship UK stock into EU for us once more?

The other question is regarding the EU EORI number that i now have.

Cant seem to figure out how to update my account with UPS to add this into the system.

To be honest although ive always been pleased with UPS the level of BREXIT support has been non existent!! Probably driven by the fact that they too havn’t had a clue what was going to happen either.

The only consolation is a lot of EU sellers in my marketplace seem to have disapeared off the UK platform either due to stock issues or more likely they are grappling whether or not it is actually going to be worth it with the increased costs of logistics!

This is the latest reply. I have written back to tell them that I have created hundreds of shipments with my current address. I tried changing it to another and it still did not work.

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

Regarding the issue with Shipment ID when trying to select Amazon-Partnered Carrier for UPS and DHL and the options are greyed out and not available.

I have have received an update from the specialist team.

Under the Amazon-Partnered Carrier (UPS) option as : "Sorry! Your ship from location does not currently fall with the Amazon Partnered Carrier coverage. " is displayed.

If you have shipped from this “Ship From” address before please recheck and update a valid address, and if this is still an issue please let us know.

What ridiculous answers we have received!

Their own documentation clearly states it is available.
