Unfortunately quality alerts for images will not be removed without changing the image.
However you can try adding a large white border surround, this tends to fool the bots whilst still showing a correct image as far as plants and flowers are concerned.
Good Luck

As Anglo advised above - it is the only option if you are not able to actually take a photograph against a white background.

There was another thread about this issue 10 days ago, or so.
So you are not the only seller with this problem.
It is a daft situation for all sellers in this particular category.
Whatever you do is going to be time consuming for you.

I use clipping magic it removes the background to make it completely white xx could that be an option ?

Hi, I started the original thread but I think I jumped in a bit quick without thinking it out properly.
I thought they were looking for white backgrounds but in reality it is more a case of the photos not being the correct size. They are really looking for 1000 x 1000 images. Message me if you think different.

I have now received this I don’t have a clue what they are talking about
Our Technical team has since written back to us with regards to the quality alerts to the existing images for live plants.
Please see the feedback we received below.
On checking we see the images uploaded by the mentioned seller does not meet Amazon image standards causing the listings to have quality alerts.
No colored or lifestyle backgrounds
Full line across any full side of image frame/area
No shadow/reflection should extend side and top of frame (except bottom frame edge)
Lifestyle background visible through the see-through material/transparent must be rejected
All the above criteria is applicable even for living plant that has environmental background

Funny you say this, in the past 7 days or so we’ve had 250 quality alerts about our images .We use a greyish background, without photoshop as we found it helps visualise the actual size and third dimension of a product with shadow. Plus we use lifestyle images which I know isn’t allowed but we’ve been doing it for three years with no problems… until now.
They must have turned their bots on because every day there’s more and more and more.
I hadn’t thought of the white surround idea though - that may work because cutting / removing background makes edges look awful and is massively time consuming.

They are being a bit pathetic with the quality alerts for images:
“I have checked the main image uploaded by you for the ASIN B002BFP674 and see that the background is not pure white. Pure white images will have an RGB color spectrum of (255,255,255) however the background of the main image uploaded by you has a color spectrum of (253,253,253) hence you are seeing the quality alert.”
So we’ve changed the background to pure white - the image now looks lower quality…

Hi I havent read all the comments but i used to have this problem with photos of my jewellery on my hand, i copy and pasted the pic onto plain background in microsoft paint and made sure there was a wide white border surrounding the photo, then save and use program called pic resizer to make saved pic to 1001 pixels, did the trick.

no afraid not that wouldn’t work for us but thanks for the suggestion.
