pending orders

I realize that there have been a number of posts about pending orders. Yet Amazon has done nothing to address the issue. A "customer" has placed 7 different orders with me for the same book, essentially removing that title from my inventory. The orders have been pending for 2 weeks now. I suspect that a competitor is responsible because it seems unreasonable to me that it would take 2 weeks to verify payment. I'm posting this just to get it off my chest. I realize that nothing will be done except, if you're lucky, a mod might respond with that old canard: file a claim. In other words, instead of easily fixing the issue for everyone by changing the 21 day threshold to something reasonable, Amazon suggests that individual sellers need to file a case in each instance. It simply doesn't make sense and places an additional burden on sellers. If they won't at least address this issue, which is screaming for a fix, what are we paying for with all the fees?

Good Morning @Seller_a3dZIXYofzccZ,

Generally pending orders can take up to 21 days to process. If they fall through the order is canceled and the product is released back into inventory. My colleague @Danika_Amazon wrote a post about Pending Orders -->HERE<-- that might help share some additional context.

If you believe there is any abusive behavior occurring you can use the Report Abuse tool. We appreciate the constructive feedback about the 21 day policy and can pass it along to the internal team. Thanks for writing into us on the Seller Forums. Have a marvelous rest of your Monday.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
