FBA Inbound vs Receiving Status
Has anyone else noticed that the inventory quantity suddenly drops when products are "Received" at FBA vs when they are "Inbound"?
For example, you may have 2 of an item currently in stock at FBA. Then you proceed to ship 6 more. Checking your inventory levels will show 2 Available + 6 Inbound "Shipped".
But at some point during the FBA Receiving process, the items that are in inbound don't show in the inventory levels and you will see only 2 Available. It seems that if they have been received at FBA but the shipment not yet closed, those items are not included in the product inventory levels and seem to be in a Black Hole, not recognized by Amazon Inventory related pages.
The problem with this discrepency is that when referring to the "Restock Inventory" page or the "Send to Amazon" page, the "Received but not Closed" items are ignored and we see recommendations to ship more of the item that have already been sent. This can lead to an overstock of items when all we're doing is following the Amazon recommendations.

This happens once the order gets "checked in" and moved into "receiving" status. Receiving status usually gets completed the same day once the box is opened up.

look at "inventory" - > "fba inventory " and the product you are looking for . you should be able to see there your missing inbound.
