Babywear and Invalid Apparel Variations (Please help!)
Hello, i hope someone here can help me, ive come from Etsy where the process of listing items is so streamlined and user friendly, now we're listing on Amazon and the Add a Product interface is driving me insane. Im trying to list baby robes, the sizes we stock are
0-6 Months, 6-12 Months,12-18 Months and 18-24 Months
Now when i try to add variations through Amazon im stuck with 6 Months, 12 Months, etc, none of them are relevant to the size of the items im trying to sell. I can add a "Special Size" to the variation and edit my own custom size that way, however the original "Size" variation still remains on the listing and forces me to choose either the options above or "One Size" which is again irrelevant.
I know there is a way to achieve this as you can see with a similar listing here

Please if anyone could spare a moment to help me figure this out, it really shouldnt be this difficult Amazon!

Hi @Seller_d4nstBUhCAcgM
The process of listing items and managing variations can certainly be challenging, especially when the options don't seem to align well with the specific sizes you need to provide.
In your case, where you're trying to list baby robes in sizes 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, and 18-24 months, the predefined "Size" variation options on Amazon (6 Months, 12 Months, etc.) don't seem to match up.
The good news is that there is a way to handle this. Here are the steps I would recommend:
When adding the product, select the "Create Variation" option. This will allow you to define your own custom size variations.
For the "Variation Theme", choose "Size".
Under the "Size" variation, you can then add your custom size options - 0-6 Months, 6-12 Months, 12-18 Months, and 18-24 Months.
This will allow you to list the baby robes with the appropriate size options, without being limited to the predefined Amazon sizes.
The key is utilizing the ability to create custom variations, rather than trying to fit your products into the standard size options. This gives you more flexibility to accurately represent the actual sizes you have available.
I hope this helps provide a solution to your listing challenges. Please let me know if you have any other questions - I'm happy to assist further.
Christine.
