Let FBA sellers use Amazon Lockers and send multi centre inventory orders in one box

For the size of Amazon, they could be thinking about their Carbon footprint, how they could reduce it and help the planet.

So why now allow FBA sellers use Amazon Lockers and/or send multi centre inventory orders in one box for smaller items/inventory then Amazon distribute between fulfilment centres (which you invariably do anyway)!

Unfortunately, I am afraid the environment is the last thing Amazon cares about. They will not re-distribute inventory into their dedicated fulfillment centers across the country on third party seller’s behalf when it’s easier to make them ship straight there instead.

In the USA, almost every FBA shipment gets split into 3 or even more warehouses. So in the UK it isn’t even that bad yet.

US sellers have the Inventory Placement Service available which can help reduce the amount of shipments in exchange for a small fee. I can imagine the feature will be available in Europe soon as well.

But Amazon lockers wouldn’t be suitable for FBA shipments since someone has to sign for the delivery and confirm it’s condition.
