Do Amazon limit the number of sales/pounds a seller can make in a day?
Just curious on everyone’s view of whether amazon apply limits to sellers to determine how much money or sales they make in a given day.
No real reason for asking but just curious really.

There are no limits on sales proceeds, however, once you exceed a certain sum (your hidden limit), your Seller Account will undergo a velocity review during which Amazon will determine whether to grant you an increase depending on your performance history:

Interesting and has been discussedd/mooted many times. I’ve always thought there may be some kind of geographical buybox distribution…Maybe?!?

Accounts are locked without reason if sales increase at an unexpected rate. Money is not disbursed and can only be retrieved by going through small courts ask me because it happened to me

Are these velocity limites/reviews purely for FBM or FBA as well?

Many times sellers have suggested the T word here on forum, but no proof have ever been provided.
Amazon allows you to sell as much as you want, and the more ways are you cooperating with Amazon the higher sales can be.
For example, we have recently joined Seller Fulfilled Prime and our sales jumped up by extra 20% within a week and stayed high since.

Many years ago, a new seller popped up on eBay offering brand new iPhones for £100 each. Predictably, the seller sold thousands of units within a couple of weeks…and then the INRs started coming in. Every single buyer received absolutely nothing for their money.
The seller closed his account and disappeared leaving eBay with a whopping refunds bill.
eBay immediately brought in a ruling that new sellers faced selling limits (in terms of stock quantity and value) to prevent the same from happening again.
Amazon have no such ruling but have stricter verification processes than eBay. There are no selling limits on amazon but it is a fact that a sudden surge in sales will set Amazon’s alarm bells ringing with the result that the seller’s account will be frozen and disbursements withheld in case of an equally sudden surge of return requests or A to Z claims.

It can be absolutely no coincidence that the sales we get are always the same give or take £10 every day for more about 10 years. It goes up or down in stages as well. There is definitely tamperment with the “take”.
For example we had a job lot from a wholesaler clearance, which was an absolute bargain for an old asin. No others on the listing, price was lower than wholesalers by 20% and yet the take stayed the same. We sold loads of the bargain and nothing else for about 2 weeks, up to the daily amount, then when that was sold out back to the other products selling.
There is a daily limit, albeit invisible.

After selling for 2-3 years, i too have thought about this.
Ive had some amazing products come in, i have such a wide range, i have expanded product ranges, and yet my taking stay very similar.
