How are peoples sales holding up?

How are peoples sales on here holding up? Ours have taken a propery dive last two weeks. Probably the state of the economy and UK and people waiting for the christmas rush but there is a definite decline that we have noticed. Anyone else? Our ebay store is completely dead as well.

Mixed. Both Amazon and eBay are very up and down. I have very good days followed by awful days. I also have lots of returns and requests for refunds on Amazon.

Quietest weekend we have ever had on Amazon and eBay this week.

Loads of returns, most of them stating incorrect listing due to Amazon errors or claiming items faulty when nothing wrong with them to avoid paying return postage. Nearly all of them now being sent back without any protective packaging whatsoever with postage labels stuck to the product rendering them unsaleable.

Also, still waiting for Amazon to correct a problem from June in which they took £400 off us in error and now being told it probably won't be resolved until next year.

Amazon has always been a challenging marketplace for sellers, but it seems to be getting worse and that's something I didn't imagine possible!

For four of the six we've been trading Amazon was a very important part of our business, sometimes bringing in over 50% of our revenue. It's really fallen off a cliff over the last couple of years and is pretty dismal now. I mostly attribute this to swamp of poor quality products and brands and the race to the bottom in terms of pricing.

It's a real shame, however, we're still growing and 80-90% of our sales are coming through our site now, so I can't really complain to be honest!

Good luck all!

I don't think I have ever seen a day as quiet as it is today. Very, very quiet recently too.

With the state of the economy, Christmas round the corner, people tightening their pockets, China even more agressive on-line, it's a mess!

Let's be honest with ourselves - we're working for Amazon! They hold all the cards!

Sales have gone down massively this month. but we are still ahead of our last year sales but overall monthly trend it seems to have reduced. Not enough Christmas order and we used to get Christmas orders from August and September already in past few years. It seems people dont have liquid cash now days.
