1 Star review for late delivery - it was not late.

Got a snotty message and a 1 star review for a late delivery. Delivery date was the 30th of April - nasty review at around 7.20pm 30th of April - item delivered on a signed for service at 7.34pm on the 30th of April. Picture included with delivery.

Raised a case to get the review removed - let me guess it will be left in place even though the customer said it was awful service and still waiting for the item.

Automated shipping template. The 'salesperson' from Amazon said a late delivery review would be removed as it is as much Amazons promise as ours'

In this case its not even late.....

Ah well, thanks for selling on Amazon have a great day;(

Update - case closed seller review cannot be removed as you guessed it - it was the customers experience.

So, they experienced an awful experience for an item delivered on the 30th of April which was due to be delivered on the 30th of April.

Fighting against a very silly system but at least I have learnt a lesson. We really should get a parcel delivered on the correct date - but hang on thats what we acheived.

If you are using an automated shipping template then Amazon should remove or strike it through if the following criteria are met

  1. You shipped the orders on time
  2. You provided valid tracking information
  3. At ship confirm, you used a shipping service that matches (or is faster than) the service that was used by SSA used to calculate delivery promise. You can see what method was used on Order Detail page and Order API.
  4. The order was shipped domestically.

If you have met that criteria it is worth pursuing this with Amazon

If it wasn't an automated template then you won't get it removed. As Amazon say it is the customers experience even though it is factually incorrect. I have had a couple like this where customer says the item hasn't been delivered but tracking shows it has...Amazon will just not remove it.

In the customers defence they may have thought at 7:20pm it was too late for the parcel to now arrive and they gave the negative feedback in frustration that it was late. Have you tried contacting the customer to see if they will remove it as the parcel was delivered just after they left the feedback?

It goes to show how little your average Amazon customer knows about who they're buying from. Amazon is to blame though, as it really pushes the idea that you're buying from Amazon itself, not a third party.

I don't have a solution for you but a similar tale. A customer bought something late afternoon, then kicked off when it didn't arrive the next day, despite the 'deliver by' date being several days away. They wanted a refund, I informed them they would have to return it first. Of course, the order never arrived, allegedly.
