GPSR. Can I sell on FBA without complying to GPSR
Hi All,
I have a few questions.
I am trading on Amazon UK
1. Can I turn off Northern Ireland on FBA.
2. Can I sell on FBA (without turning off NI) without complying to GPRS. As Amazon states - "For listings on our UK-based store, you don’t need to submit any information to Amazon."
3. If anyone is aware of the latest situation please let me know.
Thanks

1 - No you can't turn off Northern Ireland
2 - In theory no - you can't as part of the requirments for GPSR is that the manufacturer and responsible person data is presented in online listings. For Amazon UK - this is not possible to do (though take a look at listings on any of hte EU stores and by crikey the responsible person data is a mess).

Wanted to return to this one. @Julia_Amazon there was a webinar held today by the UK Department for Trade and Industry.
A question was asked by one of the sellers on the call. it was...
"I am a seller on Amazon. I have been told by them that orders placed on amazon.co.uk for delivery to Northern Ireland do not have to comply with GPSR. is that correct"
The response was "No, that is not correct". The expert also stated 'they had heard this before but it is not correct'
So why do amazon still persist with this lunk headed approach to this policy? I appreciate that technically you advise that GPSR 'will apply in Northern ireland' so why can't you let sellers comply fully?

Thanks for your help in answering these questions @Seller_ZJhFeE3tNKzfh!
@Seller_MLVV0MRyhhFnM, for detailed information, please check out the "General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)".
Just to emphasize: all products listed on Amazon EU marketplaces must meet GPSR requirements. Amazon may remove any listings that don't comply with these regulations.
To protect your listings and maintain your selling privileges, make sure to:
- Go to the Product Compliance page
- Look for the "Open" tab
- Submit all required information for your brands and listings
Let me know if you need any clarification!
Best, Ezra
