Help with establishing my UK business
On the 27th Dec 2023 i received 2 emails from Amazon seller central stating that they had indications that that i might not be UK established for VAT Purposes
Requirements are to send proof that my company is established in the UK. Also they require additional documents to continue with my business establishment verification associated with my VAT.
Over this time i have sent documents as they have asked for them but they are still asking for more info.
I live in the UK my business is in the UK, always has been. I am not Vat registered nor do i require to be.
I sent details from my goverment gateway account including. My UTR number, my tax years letter,
My short tax return 2022 to 2023. completed by my accountant. My UTR Number, My UK business bank account, My council tax bill. My driving license, my passport, invoices of goods delivered to my home address that i sell on Amazon.
I have nothing more that i can send. I cannot send any VAT documents as i don't have any.
I sent an email explaining all this but just received another email asking for more info.
Could someone please help.

Hi Julie,
There are quite a lot of us in this situation (and the number is growing). I've send Doc scans like you, had requests for more info and sent more docs and am awaiting news...
But the 'validators' may be busy!
I use Amazon Buy Shipping which should show that items are sent from an East London Post Office near where I live, and many of the documents sent have been sent before and have been accepted but they're asking for more evidence!

I too have had this, and am COMPLETELY bamboozled by it, as when trying to find the page to submit the required documents, all it does is take me back to my seller homepage. There is nowhere that tells me what documents they require and nowhere to submit any document ??!!

Have you been selling on Amazon for a long time?
Do you have any overseas Amazon accounts activated?
Amazon recently added lots of EU accounts to sellers on older accounts and most were 'live' by default. I believe that may be the cause of some of these issues that have been reported over the last few weeks espcially as they were added with no advanced warning..

Has anyone had any luck getting re-verified. I have sent passport, utility bill, self-assessment statement, driving license. Running out of docs to send them. What is so frustrating is i have been through this 3 times in a year. They already have these docs on file, very stressful and the looming threat of disbursements being stopped.

I just passed verification. It takes two months. You have all documents combine to one pdf file and keep send it to them the same documents when they asking to provide more documents.
