Cannot delete listings

Anyone had a similar issue?

In all my marketplaces I have a load of inactive listings which I wish to delete entirely, many of them are old violations and products anyway and I dont even know why or how they resurfaced.

I've tried everything. Making inventory Zero and manually deleting them. Using a feed file to delete them. Using an inventory loader and putting 'X' in the add-delete box. Everything. Feed files are always successful but they simply do not delete and the products stay in my inventory.

Seller support are no help at all and its driving me nuts, one marketplace has 42 odd inactive listings which need to be deleted alone, and I am stuck trying to explain my issue to them over and over again and being understood as much as talking to a potato.

Any insight anyone has would be helpful (tenfold as compared to SS responses anyway i'm sure) if this has happened to anyone?

There has got to be a way to delete them. Its going to impact my account for sure and I highly doubt Amazon will take any responsibility.

Have you tried deleting the listing and then straight away closing the listing? This worked for us.

Seller support submitted a deletion request 6 days ago. They said they would be deleted within 24 hours. Now we are a week on and they are asking me for the reason I want to delete them...

Um, because i want to delete them?

When you think it really doesnt get more frustrating....

Im so sick of this issue, Amazon is unable to delete the 'inactive' and 'blocked' listings in various markets, they dont know why I cant delete them either, they're sending me around in circles and completely infuriating me by telling me how to delete them over and over again, knowing full well it doesnt work, because even they cant delete them, and then to top it off, they're now giving me completely irrelevant solutions for a topic completely unrelated.

Then they say the case is 'light' on details, because they cant be bothered to read the case history which at this point is several pages long. When I respond to say i am going insane, they're threatening to block me from support (France) - is this because they cannot resolve the issue and dont know what else to do? Who knows.

Come on Amazon, you can soooo do better, no?!?!

Following my continued efforts to resolve the persistent issue of undeletable listings across multiple marketplaces (including EU and NA), I believe I may identified a crucial step that was previously missing from the troubleshooting advice I received, and in the hopes of helping someone in a similar situation in the future, I thought it best to share, as you'll get no insight with Seller Support...

It appears that before attempting to delete the listings from individual marketplaces, the SKUs may need to be explicitly excluded from the Build International Listings (BIL) or Global Selling tool.

I have taken this action for the problematic SKUs and have subsequently attempted deletion within the individual marketplaces. So far, this approach seems to be working, which suggests that the Global Selling tool may have been continuously attempting to relist or synchronize these SKUs, preventing successful deletion at the marketplace level. It was also responsible for 'bringing them back from the dead' so to speak. So listings which were long gone, even before this issue began, were revived from the ashes, if anything triggered in a marketplace where they were live.

Therefore, for future reference and for the benefit of other sellers experiencing similar issues with undeletable listings in connected marketplaces, the following workflow may be necessary:

Access the Build International Listings/Global Selling tool.

Identify the problematic SKUs that are failing to delete in specific marketplaces.

Exclude these SKUs from synchronization with the affected marketplaces.

Once excluded, attempt to delete the listings within the individual marketplaces using the standard methods (e.g., Inventory Loader file with "x" or manual deletion).

While this appears to be a potential fix, I will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the listings remain deleted and do not reappear. So far so good.

I wanted to share this potential resolution as it highlights a crucial dependency between the Global Selling tool and the ability to manage listings effectively within individual marketplaces. It would be beneficial if this step were included in standard troubleshooting advice for undeletable listings in globally connected accounts. Instead of being passed from pillar to post for over a month.

I would say thank you for reluctant, threatening, yet still, ongoing (though often misdirected) support. However, it got me no where and only served to give me blood pressure.

I hope this information helps in resolving my issue permanently and can also assist other sellers facing similar challenges.
