I am not 100% sure, but from previous threads , I believe you have to create a new listing (ASIN) with the correct brand.

not it seems without insider support or you get a support agent who doesn’t know the rules.

The brand is locked at the point of creation. Amazon would see something branded as different to the generic item so you need to create a new listing.
