Buy Shipping end of Day and C&D Manifest
I hope someone can help me please.

If we have our royal mail account connected to amazon and we buy through buy-shipping can we mix the parcels with click and drop orders e,g orders from ebay, etsy etc which can’t be bought through amazon buy shipping.

Buying through amazon how do we post the parcel? do we have to put them in grey mail bags just like C&D and label the bag? We will be using Royal Mail CRL24 & CRL48
I’ve been going through the help pages but it’s full of how to buy the postage but nothing about how to actually post when you’re ready.

As already said - yes, you can mix orders within the same sacks from both Amazon RM-linked Buy Shipping and C&D, provided they are the same service. There is no confusion over this now so ignore anything above which suggests that there is. It is a Royal Mail policy, in black and white, and is categorically fine to do.
It’s all in here:

We have recently had it confirmed again to us by our Account Manager.
Also, we had a random inspection recently where they tried to add surcharges for us doing this, but when we pointed at that according to Royal Mail policy it was ok to do, those specific surcharges were dropped, again confirming that this indeed is fine.

According to reports, you can mix amazon bought postage in the same bags as other postage ie click and drop
You use the same mailing bags and tags
Just make sure you print off and present both manifests

I only have ONE manifest at the end of the day which includes both my Amazon & eBay orders

We just switched to RM 48 nearly 2 weeks ago. We started off by trying buy shipping and found it to be an awful system! Just little things such as if we needed to void a label if the customer cancelled or we wanted to change the shipping method they charge your account and you have to wait a month for Royal Mail to check the label hasn’t been used. But the main issue we had was selecting the correct shipment day! If we are processing orders after dropping off post or at the weekend / bank holiday etc… then our post day isn’t going to be the day we’re actually posting on… So if it says Tuesday, like today, we need to manually change it to Wednesday each time and if you forgot it goes on the wrong end of day and we couldn’t find a way of changing it… I hate the fact you need two manifests… It would be better if they could simply work out a way for Amazon to send the data from buy shipping to click and drop and the manifest on click and drop does everything…
So we’ve now switched to RM 48 but in click and drop. A few things to note. When you select the dispatch in Amazon and upload tracking automatically it seems to back date old shipments, it done a weeks worth for us. So items we’d shipped under franking/stamps it change to 2nd class post so we had to go back an update them all. But now it’s all up and running its been fine. We actually haven’t had any customers moan about goods not arriving since we started on the 16th Sep (touch wood) compared to 2 or 3 a day under the non tracked option… We’re now weighing each item as well to make sure our average weight is accurate and before it comes in as a requirement in March 2022.

Our first time using Amazon Buy Shipping today.
Managed to get all labels and manifest printed smoothly.
Only challenge came when handing the grey mail bag over to the post office.
1 bag, 2 manifests RM C&D, and AMZ
The post office member of staff said they could only attach 1 manifest to the one bag I had given them as according to the paperwork and the system it’s 1 manifest per bag, I couldn’t attach 2.
ie for each manifest they had scanned and logged a total of 1 bag had been entered
ergo according to the PO system I had given the PO 2 bags.
I had only given them 1 bag, but 2 manifests.
They finally accepted it as just 1 bag with both manifests stapled to the 1 bag.
I had to tell them that information on exactly how to do this correctly was very scant and that I accept full responsibility.
Will have to see how it goes.
Q? Anyone else produce just 1 grey mail bag and 2 manifests?
Q? How did they manage this on their system at the PO?

I watched the youtube RM video, CRL RM 24 is with red label, so it should be ok with the First class small parcel. Thanks.
