Changed bank account and completely locked out of Amazon
This is for a friend. He changed his Barclays bank account details yesterday whilst on the phone to seller support.
Without any notification he cannot gain access to seller central or even contact seller support. His storefront has been removed entirely.
He needs to contact the verification team but without access to seller central this is impossible. Please can anyone provide assistance for him?

I think that I have just seen your friend’s post in a Facebook group. I believe that it was a hack attempt since he was asked on phone to re-enter the previous bank account number in full. If he somehow accessed a bogus version of the Seller Central, this would be all, what hackers needed to take control over his account.
Being completely locked out of the account with no notifications indicates, that the account is on hold.
Advise him to call the Customer Support in the morning and ask them to reopen his account. They will probably say that they can only reopen the buyer side and that for the seller part he needs to e-mail the Seller Performance. But he needs to insist on it and ask to be transferred to account specialist.
Once he manages to talk to the account specialist, then he will be asked to confirm all his account details including the full credit card number.
This worked for me when I had my account locked last year.

He has just replied to me with the following explanation from Amazon:
Update - Amazon said change bank account, Amazon then sees seller account as being hacked, Amazon then suspends account without notification whilst they cleanse account, Amazon don’t send update as they think hacker has email control, Amazon says log into account to update details, Seller can’t login to account because it’s blocked, Amazon say it’s a glitch.
Looks like it’s being sorted though.
