Sponsored Display Ads

Hello,

Has anyone had any success (or not) or have any comments at all about Sponsored Display Ads?

Amazon has recommended Sponsored Display Ads to me to help increase sales, however, I’m keen to not overspend on PPC…

Thanks.

I have some experience with sponsored ads, and I currently have two campaigns running, my advice would be to very careful with your PPC and budget and your keywords, especially if you’re a beginner because the cost can spiral out of control quickly.

So for example you could start by setting a budget of £1/£2 a day at the beginning and set your PPC to something low like to 20p and see how it works out for you. Also, try to use your own specific keywords, so imagine who’s likely to buy your product and what keywords would they be searching for.

In conclusion, sponsored ads do work, but you have to make sure the cost is reasonable for the sales it generates, i,e. there’s no point spending £100 on ads to generate £50 of sales.

I advertise about 90% of my inventory via sponsored products & have been for 9 years,it generates 20-30% of my sales.Ive run Sponsored Display a few times & found it basically of no value for my products.Watch your ACOS %,for my products & margins it needs to be under 5%.Advising a budget & PPC bid is irrelevant without knowing your margins.
