I am trying to work out if I have understood this correctly.

I can sell products that I create myself on Amazon but I need to register the GTIN’s with GS1 first and I can list them as ‘unbranded’.

If I wish to list an item that I haven’t created myself, say imported it, but it doesn’t currently have a GTIN/EAN then I need to approach the manufacturer and ask for permission to sell it and register a barcode.

Is that all correct?

Are there any other resources available to give me advice on doing this?

I am weighing up selling our own products vs the imported copies available.

If it helps we are in the ‘home/interior/garden’ space.
