£2000 order but buyer has not provided their surname - should I fulfil?
Hi all.
So, as per the title, I have had an order for over £2000 but the buyer has only provided their first name in their address and no surname.
It's a UK residential address and all seems normal in that respect but I'm a little hesitant because:
A) Are they trying to conceal their identity to an extent?
B) Will it impact my ability to defend an A to Z claim if it comes to that?
It's sad that in the past I wouldn't have had any issue with his. I would have just fulfilled it as normal with Special Delivery + Insurance through Amazon buy postage. However, now that Amazon have changed their A to Z process so as to make a claim unwinnable by a seller, I have to be much more careful.

The amount of money in this order is so large that maybe you need to call and check with the buyer? Also keep a recording of your call. It's also a powerful piece of evidence in court if fraud occurs.

Did you download a relevant order report with the options for full billing name &c enabled ?
That normally gives you the full name and address of the buyer though that doesn't exactly apply to 'gift' orders and dropships where the recipient and buyers are normally different.
