And now a question about revenue calculator

I have noticed that for some items, the revenue calculator adds an amount for ‘other costs’. What are they? There is an amount for Amazon fees, one for fulfillment and then storage and we are ok so far and then other costs then in some cases are quite high. For instance I have found £1.95 extra cost for a set of tea towels (that I don’t sell, I was just testing things) that weigh 250 grams and are selling on Amazon now for £5.50. As I do my own prep and as far as I know tea towels don’t require special care what are these extra costs? According to the revenue calculator one would lose £1.61 for every set of tea towels sold, is the revenue calculator reliable?

It will be VAT I would imagine.
If you expand the box, it will tell you more.

Apologies for reviving an oldish thread but I’ve been playing about with the revamped Revenue Calculator and I’m finding it worse than useless.

https://sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/revcal

I’m trying to get it to calculate the bottom line for various FBM products.

What I’m looking for is the equivalent of the ‘Your earnings’ figure that appears at the bottom of ‘Sold, dispatch now’ emails.

The figures thrown out by the Revenue Calculator are completely out of whack with the actual bottom line.

It insist on adding estimated costs and I can’t find a way to stop it.

The previous version of the calculator didn’t do that.

Also, when you click on the Learn more about the programme link it takes you to the USA help page, which is not much use for UK fulfillment!
