Listing Problems: "...other issues on your SKU"
Hi Everyone,
Recently I've been having a lot of issues with SKUs on new listings.
We sell our own brand only so we have our own EAN numbers and the SKU is left blank and generated by Amazon. I list everything individually manually. Recently when I create a new listing, quite often it's listing some of the variations and some are just not appearing. They will go into drafts with this error messages:
"There is no record of the SKU corresponding to this update on your account. This commonly occurs when there are other issues on your SKU."
For example, I listed a new dress, 2 colours (red and navy) in 7 different sizes. The red sizes created perfectly, but all of the navy sizes went into drafts with the above error message.
I have contacted Amazon support who told me it's because the SKU is a parent SKU rather than a child one and to fix I should edit the listing, add the variations and leave the SKU field blank so Amazon will generate one - this is what I was doing in the first place. Amazon generate the SKU, I'm not putting one in - so surely this is an Amazon issue if it's generating as a 'parent' SKU instead of a 'child'?
No amount of editing, deleting and relisting seems to have any different result. I've tried even changing the EAN number to try and make it look like a different variation but no good.
Has anyone encountered this and been able to fix it? Can anyone explain why it's happening? (I'm not very technical so Amazon for dummies language please!!)
I've just deleted my dress listing (the red version that had worked) and will try relisting the whole thing again on Monday and see if that works. Very frustrating - its even worse when half of the size variations of a product list and half don't because then you have customers asking 'when will the size large (or whatever) be available?'
Thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone can give.

@Seller_5uBYL2LFkHdQM,
Thank you for coming back to me.
Magic! Sometimes the basic troubleshooting step of relisting the product solves the issue. It might happen that the system has to reprocess your listing again.
I hope you will not have any similar issues with your listings✨
Have a nice day,
Sakura
