Cannot change email address for order cancellation email notifications

This is a new forum post because the old thread is locked. @Topher_Amazon either Amazon should not lock threads, or should resolve support cases in under 1/3 of a year. You can read more about the issue specifics on the original post (see below). But the basics are that the email notifications for auto-cancelled MFN orders were only going to me; the account owner. And I could not find where to change it to my customer service emails address.

After 4 months (and many, many emails about how they are working on it) they came back with the following message:

- The email provided in the screenshot is the email type ORDER_CANCELLED_BY_CUSTOMER_SERVICE. This email type does not have an associated preference, and therefore will only be delivered to the merchant's default contact. With that said, the only way to change the email address this email type is delivered to is by changing the default contact email address.

It seems crazy that amazon would push for auto cancellations, but you cannot specifically set the email address the notification go to. We are now forced to turn auto-cancellation off, which is the opposite of what Amazon wants. Sounds like they need to prioritize fixing this if they want their sellers turning on auto-cancellation.
