Scared of opening Amazon return- 90% of return are from Scammers

Amazon should make a new year resolution to stop the scammers. It is getting so ridiculous and inexplicably incomprehensible.

Amazon , please let us have a town hall meeting. Let us do this together. Scammers are buying through FBA and switch products or return empty boxes without any remorse.

I have only had one case with seller fulfilled and the buyer said it was a mistake. He sent the right item back- He did not know we will check.

Amazon, please help

Why would Amazon care? it's not costing them any money? Scammers don't buy stuff sold by Amazon, they know better....

Amazon REWARDS SCAMMERS is more like it! Hell Amazon makes money by allowing all these orders to process with invalid shipping addresses. This is a platform that makes money per transaction and that is what they push transaction they may not be good for sellers but they are good for collecting fees!

Got two in a row where the item was photocopied, front and back, and the printoffs pasted onto a worthless catalog, then returned.

We barely use FBA anymore because of the scam returns, and out of the handful of returns we have already received back from FBA this holiday, they are all scammers. 4 packages returned and all 4 were boxes stuffed with junk, with our product removed. We only send low value items to FBA and scammers will still do it to try to steal $35 worth of product. The cost of FBA including the losses for scammers still outweighs the cost of shipping the cheaper items ourselves. Anything of high value is all done FBM which gives us much more control of how to handle a scam.

why does amazon allow scammers and allow them to commit mail fraud?

Sales have been slow as a bookseller. Why does Amazon even allow returns? Just switch to 0 returns. Buyers are still getting a great price with free shipping. If they don't like it, go elsewhere. No returns, no problems. Most returns are damaged or a buyer wanting a freebie

Can Amazon Ban them for life? has that ever happened to anyone? or a serial returner? It happened to some lady at Costco even made the headlines lol... They told her clearly nothing they have is anything she wants as she would use and abuse then return, blocked her for life.... lol

I just refunded 2 returns with a 15% restocking fee and I charged them the return shipping cost. I feel great. Don't care if I get a negative feedback. I'm done with this chit.

Only 90%? I guess if it's not a scam the packaging is missing or destroyed so it can't be resold as new anyways. It's crazy but we just need to factor in a few percentage points in the margin to cover losses of returns.
