Hello, I'm having real difficulty understanding what Amazon is wanting here, being as vague as they are, my question is who do they want this notice from why do they want it when they have all my tax and UTR numbers, driver license numbers everything but the kitchen sink. as for a sample can be found on the help page, yeah right my backside!!
the notice I keep getting is.
Power of attorney issued to Brian Dominique Field
Legal representative for Brian Field
Power of Attorney should be on a business letterhead containing the business name and Point of Contact name as provided while registering. A sample can be found on the help page.
The document should be signed by a legal representative of the business.
The document should have been issued on or after 09 Apr 2023

what they actually want is a letter of authorisation where the beneficial owner gives permission for the main contact to make business decisions.
Even if you are both the main point of contact and the beneficial owner, they still want a letter where you give yourself permission to act on behalf of the business.

I had the same problem it took me weeks to sort it out, nothing had changed but suddenly I needed to prove my identity again, even though everything passed for VAT verification, I had to change my VAT certificate to show my name trading as my company name to pass the identity check, it's been a nightmare, if your not VAT registered, I would suggest asking HMRC to send a verification letter stating your name trading as your business name to get around it

Hi Brian - did you get this sorted.
My information was verified today - amazon do not want a power of attorney letter - they are looking for a self assessment statement showing UTR number (you should have received an email from amazon same time as this message appeared on your account info) - i uploaded mine on the box where they asked for power of attorney - document accepted / verified 3 days later - account now up to date again

So we ended up not getting through the verification process, even with a power of attorney letter proof of tax return, class 2 nic's proof, and every other proof we could give them, so I'm not allowed to sell on Amazon, asked the question about releasing funds as this has gone on for over a month, no answer so the question is do they keep these funds or release in 90 days. at least I know I can add them to my loss of profit if they keep them.
Cheers sellers of Amazon I'd like to say it has been a blast but to be honest without the constant hassle of Amazon rules and regs it's been wonderful, just concentrating on my other stores, which to be honest have been a bit neglected with such constant work into our Amazon shop,
