Crazy Shipping Prices for Light Weight Items
I can't understand why Amazon would show a HIGHER shipping option when an item is still within the shipping window. I had a 5 oz item (along with 2 others) that wasn't due to ship until the next day so I decided to go ahead and ship it a day early and it STILL showed "priority type" shipping making it undesirable to use.
I had to use Ship Station for those 3 items. I just don't understand their logic in choice. It's getting to the place where if you don't sell more expensive items here then you may have to change your business plan or LEAVE.

I've noticed that below the three options Amazon gives you, there's a 'more options' link. For us, often the USPS Ground Advantage is on that list -- just says it's at risk of being delivered late. We choose it anyway :). And overall our delivery times are 2.1 days before the promissed date.

Thanks for the post @Seller_ENBrTBTSn3PDq- I think the suggestion from the other seller to examine all shipping options is a good one! I'll also add a link to this resource on configuring shipping rates in case there's any useful information for you!
