ERROR CODE 8572 AND 8566
Hi We have been having an issue with a listing for some time - we have been selling for a number of years - sales are a good number
the brand name of the listing is correct yet we are getting the error code 8572 - they said that amazon have approved the brand for that listing yet we are still getting error code 8566. We are going round and round in circles and amazon are asking for an affiliation letter - which we have provided - again they said that it was approved and the error should NOT be there - the ERROR is STILL THERE. Every time i respond to the case they advise the same thing and nothing is being solved. They even asked me to delete the listing and re-list it which I have done - nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know how to resolve this - how am I able to push this case to someone with higher authority as I feel like the customer service team are just repeating themselves.
Thank you

Hi @Seller_9erPQOPhLu3Jx,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand this has been a frustrating experience, and I'm sorry to hear you've been going back and forth without a resolution.
To help look into this further, could you please provide us with the Case ID(s) of the previous cases you have opened regarding this issue?
In the meantime, here are some steps that may help:
- Ensure your UPC/EAN is registered with GS1 and matches your brand
- Confirm your brand name on the listing matches exactly what is registered in Brand Registry
If you need any further help, please don't hesitate to reach out — we're here to support you.
Best,
Kai

Thank for getting back to me. I've deleted everything on the spreadsheet that isn't a required field and appears to have done the trick.

That update is useful, because it suggests the problem may not have been the brand approval itself, but extra data being pushed through the spreadsheet.
If deleting all non-required fields solved it, then the likely issue was that one of the optional attributes was triggering a validation conflict in the catalogue backend, even though the visible errors pointed to 8572 / 8566.
So for anyone else hitting the same loop, it may help to try:
* submitting only the absolute required fields
* removing any optional brand / identifier / attribute fields that are not essential to the update
* avoiding a full relist unless necessary, because the conflict may simply reappear
This looks less like a normal “you are not approved” issue and more like a stale or conflicting catalogue state being re-triggered by the flat file.
