AWD UK - A complete mess?

Since AWD UK was launched last month we've been drip feeding inventory into AWD UK (using Amazon Partnered Carrier UPS).

On 4th Sept we realised that our first delivered AWD shipment inventory appeared in our FBA inventory - we opened a case with Amazon that same day (case 13237273932) - despite waiting 3 weeks the case remains "Work in progress".

Yesterday I spotted that another AWD shipment where the inventory is in our FBA inventory.

Today I spotted yet another AWD shipment where the inventory is in our FBA inventory.

Note: In all instances the goods never enter "Receiving" on the AWD shipment - it's as if UPS is delivering some goods to the wrong warehouse.

Note: We have 1 AWD shipment where the goods are correctly showing in our AWD inventory.

Other sellers: What's your experience been with AWD UK?

Amazon: Please urgently arrange for the underlying issue to be fixed. And resolution for the goods which are now in FBA rather than AWD (incurring higher storage fees and in the future long term storage fees).

Hi there. This sounds strange. I looked at AWD but decided I didnt need it yet because I dont get pallets of stuff brought in from abroad. When you said you are drip feeding into AWD by UPS it seemed to me like that was maybe the problem. As I understand it (and I could be wrong), AWD is really for large shipments of stock that back up you FBA stock to allow you to hold more in the Amazon distribution system. If you ship small amounts in, then they will replenish any inventory in FBA needed first, so it seems a bit pointless. You would typically use AWD for fast moving volume products that are manufactured elsewhere and shipped in volume direct to Amazon from your manufacturer. So it may be significantly cheaper to manufacture a years worth of one product in China and have Amazon Global Logistics ship end to end from China to the AWD warehouse. Then, when your FBA stock needs replenishment, they draw from this stock. You would not typically be sending by UPS to an AWD warehouse. But I could be wrong.

I have had the same issue. Sent to AWD and got a STAR reference number and then it all went into FBA, making me go over capacity and therefore not allowing the high volume products to get to FBA. Everything is just blocked. Have sent loads of messages but keep getting, we will come back to you after the internal team gets back to us. AWD in the UK really is in a mess. Pls sort this out Amazon.

Can't even open seller support cases with the AWD team:

On sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/asdn/about it says "Need help fast? Our support menu includes an AWD option" "Contact support":

img

When we click "Contact support" there's no option for AWD:

img

When we click "My issue is not listed" we can't proceed because Amazon wants an irrelevant FBA Shipment ID:

Hello @Seller_WkGzXFR8EP6Iq

Thanks for sharing that feedback about your AWD experiences.

I reached out to our partner team to share your comments and questions. I see that the team is still investigating your questions for Case 13237273932, but I asked if that review can be expedited.

Hello @Seller_WkGzXFR8EP6Iq Our AWD partner team thanks you and the other sellers for the feedback. They asked me to pass on the below request to open a new support case. Please check back here if that does not work for you, or if there is a delay.

KJ_Amazon

We understand you are experiencing an issue where inventory from your Amazon Warehousing and Distribution shipments has been redirected to Fulfillment by Amazon fulfillment centers instead of being received into Amazon Warehousing and Distribution, resulting in higher storage fees.

In order to process the storage fee difference between the Fulfillment by Amazon fulfillment center rates and the Amazon Warehousing and Distribution distribution center rates for the affected units, we require an active seller support case opened directly through Seller Central.

Please create a new support case via Seller Central for this issue, and once you have done so, our concerned POC will take it forward.
