Product pages Q&A box

Amazon offer “Q&A” question and answer feature where customers can ask a question related to a product on any product page, and anyone, customer or seller, can answer that question.

It looks like this, above a box where you can type your question:

Have a question?

Find answers in product info, Q&As, reviews

So yesterday I received an email from Amazon titled "Can you answer this question about (xxx) “, and inside: " As a seller of xxx can you help this customer?”

So I answer the question, but even now, still nothing showing on the page, no question and no answer - why?
Shouldn’t at leat the question be there?

Did that potential buyer at least got sent my reply?

I have had such emails from amazon with a question, which I have answered if able to.
I assume they must forward any answers to to customer, but have never bothered to check and see if my answer appears on the page.
