Listing closed unexpectedly and I am the only one who is suffering
So I have been selling some products of a brand let's say XYZ for about 6 months now. Never received any complaint or policy violation. Sales were good and my account health was increasing too. However unexpectedly I received an email yesterday from Amazon stating:
"Hello, As part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, we have implemented additional restrictions for XYZ products. Effective 2024-08-13, you will not be able to list the affected products, and your listings will be removed. This action does not impact your account health.
How can I reinstate my listings?
You are not approved to list XYZ products and we are currently not accepting applications.
Were your listings removed as a result of an error?
If you believe your products have been misclassified within a certain category or sub-category that requires approval, please contact Selling Partner Support with evidence, such as product pictures, to support this claim. Amazon will review your claim and make a final determination that will ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.
What happens if I do not take action?
If no action is taken, the affected listings will not be available for sale in the Amazon store.
Can I sell my remaining FBA inventory?
If you have remaining inventory of the affected products in Amazon fulfillment centers, you may continue selling your remaining inventory until 2024-08-13. After this date, you will need to create a removal order. For help in creating a removal order, see the following: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/200280650."
My listings did get inactive and all my inventory is stranded just like that. At first I thought they were going to remove the listing but turns out they just threw me out of the listing as the listing is still active and all other sellers are selling it. I just don't understand what exactly happened. I contacted seller central several times and they referred me to Account health team but nobody has an answer for me. There was no policy violation. There was no customer complaint. How come after six months Amazon decided to put restrictions on it just for me??????????? They are like "yeah you need approval but we are not giving approvals". I have inventory worth thousands of dollars stranded in their warehouse. It might not affect Amazon but it affects me. I rely on my seller account for bread and butter. I have bills to pay. What frustrates me is that I am the only one who got thrown out of the listing. My best guess is since I am not an American citizen like other sellers and belong to a third world country where basic necessities are considered as luxuries therefore all the restrictions are for us only to suffer. Please help me someone.

I received the email two hours before they got inactive. Should at least have had the decency to inform me a month before so I could manage my inventory.

Going to see a lot of this happening across all markets.

"Listing closed unexpectedly and I am the only one who is suffering "
"the listing is still active and all other sellers are selling it. "
It's possible the others have not been caught (stopped) yet!
As @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9notes this is becoming a common occurrence.
DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?
DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK.
IF you have those things, is it POSSIBLE that the brand has sent Amazon a "whitelist" of approved sellers and did not have you on it?
More and more brands are providing such a "whitelist" of their approved sellers and if YOU are NOT on the list you will be stopped in your tracks and probably hit with an IP violation.
I had one of my brands stop me because they CHANGED the company they hired to screen sellers. The NEW screener did not recognize my Amazon store name because I do all my purchases under a different LLC. It took a couple weeks to get straightened out and no problems since then.

Greetings @Seller_lUlet6u6mw8f5,
I'm sorry for the difficulties that you have had with these restrictions to your product. In general there is no path to appeal these decisions and there will be no path for you to appeal these products and you will need to create a removal order to have the product returned to you. If you provide your most recent Case ID on this issue I can direct your feedback regarding this experience to the appropriate leadership, however I may not be able to provide additional insights. Thank you for your understanding.
