Vine Reviewer Threaten a bad review via email and carried it out

Reaching out to a moderator please.

We enrolled in the vine program and released 10 units for review. After the 30 days expiration for returns a reviewer contacted us through the seller central email system.

He stated that the product had now failed and wanted a new one and that he had given us a good review. We replied that would could send out a new product on receipt of the faulty unit.

The Vine Voice replied he would send the old one once he had tested the new one. We consulted the Case log help who advised he needs to contact amazon through the help page. This information was passed on and met with hostility. He went on to say that's not amazon policy, and that we didn't want to resolve the issue then he threatened to report us a give a bad review.

Its not unreasonable for us to offer a new one for the supposed faulty item as we cannot afford just to send new product on someone's say so.

He has now carried out his threat with a 1 star review. Initially he referred to poor customer service but has since changed this, we assume because amazon would just strike through it as its FBA.

Now the comment says faulty after 1 month stay away.

We are shocked that vine voice program that we have paid to enrol in, has reviewers that can be malicious like this.

Over the week we have passed on the information and even sent the email correspondence but not received proper feed back. We have even been told it has been removed but it hasn't.

Please help

I've had vine reviewers leave reviews where they have made up all sorts of things, and then gone on to recommend a competitors product.

I've had many customers take products and never leave reviews.

I've had 1 star reviews because the customer didnt like the colour scheme on the label!

I had one reviewer say an all natural product with natural ingredients which is hand made, contains poison! How on earth they came to that conclusion is beyond me, but they went on to recommend another brand too, and amazon weren't interested in removing anything.

I've had a customer claim many different products and copy and paste the same review accross all of them...

So good luck with your issue, my advice, stay away from vine, it clearly isnt used as it should be...

The point of Vine is to get good reviews - the lesson here is that you need to bend over backwards to keep anyone with power in Amazon happy, otherwise it ends badly for you. By sending the replacement item FOC this situation would have been avoided, assuming that your product would not fail again of course.

I don't use vine, the scheme is not living up to expectation, people start to exploit the scheme. Vine is design for Amazon to make more money out of sellers and bleed them dry. The cost is high plus you loose your product and if that is not enough you will still have to pay Fulfilment fees plus VAT when a vine customer claim a free product. same with vouchers you have to pay to give discount is beyond me, you offer 15% discount using vouchers each time a customer accept your voucher you have to pay for it even if the customer don't actually buy your item is a rip off so i even stop giving vouchers. Amazon is too powerful so they treat sellers has cash cows without government intervention it will get worst. They hold on to two weeks of sales in reserve and claim it is use to honor customer refunds, yet when a customer claim a refund it if taken from your actual balance and not out of the reserve. Ridiculous!!!
