FBA shipping requirements

Getting your box weights and dimensions correct is important for successful FBA shipments. Here's everything you need to know about Amazon's requirements for shipping boxes to our fulfilment centres.

Standard-Size Items

For boxes containing standard-size items, follow these specifications:

  • Minimum box size: 15.2 cm x 10.0 cm x 2.5 cm.
  • Maximum box size: 63.5 cm on any side.
  • Weight range: 0.15 kg to 23 kg.

Oversized Items

When shipping a single oversized item:

  • Box length can extend up to 73.7 cm.
  • Weight can increase up to 30 kg.
  • Boxes must not be unnecessarily large relative to the item.

Heavy and Bulky Items

For items exceeding 30 kg:

  • Must enrol in the FBA Heavy and Bulky programme.
  • Maximum box length: 150 cm.
  • Maximum girth: 3 metres [girth = (2 x width) + (2 x height) + length].

Safety Labelling Requirements

  • All boxes weighing 15 kg or more require "Team Lift"/"Heavy Package" labels.
  • Labels must be visible on all sides and top (5 labels total).
  • Labels should be in the local language of the destination country.

Note: Sellers must create their own labels as Amazon does not provide them.

Important Compliance Notes:

  • These requirements apply to all shipments, regardless of whether you provide box content information in Seller Central.
  • Weight and dimension policies are strictly enforced.
  • Incorrect measurements or overweight boxes may result in:
  1. Rejected shipments.
  2. Additional fees.
  3. Restricted shipping privileges.
  4. Blocked future shipments.

Remember: Always provide accurate measurements and weights for all boxes and pallets, especially when using Amazon-partnered carriers. This ensures smooth processing at fulfillment centers and helps avoid any potential issues with your shipments.
