moving stock to a new ASIN Listing when changing from generic to branded
Good Morning,
I have been around the houses and read many a thread on how we are unable to change listing from Generic to your registered brand and i understand the policies and reasons however in my situation this is a new product without any sold units or reviews, i would really appreciate if any sellers can offer a clear solution (5 days of emails to seller support with no clear path)
I have tried the following so far...
1. Change existing listing from generic to brand - against amazon policy
2. deleted listings and produced a xml file with full update - error 8541 the value X cannot be used as it conflicts with the value generic.... and stranded inventory
3. I was advised a possible remapping of stock option - "As the ASINs are fulfilled by Amazon, They will help you to clear the current stock of the ASINs, so that you can use your brand registered ASINs without any issues." This seemed like a good option but concerns with the fact the the products already have a GS1 barcode with associated "old" ASIN/MPN, however although i have old and new listings stock is still showing under old listing and not new even though support have said the remapping is done.
4. I have read another post mentioning "Try opening a case asking for them to "cleve" the EAN from the ASIN and attach your GS1 certificate showing that you are the owner of the EAN." not sure if this is part of the remapping exercise or will indeed help me in this case
5. and finally ive read that some have no alternative than to "create a removal order, return the stock, relabel them with new ASIN/MPN barcodes, send back to amazon under new listings - this seems incredible inefficient
Obviously im trying to avoid number 5 so if anyone can offer any advice id really appreciate that. as mentioned its a new product, no sales nor reviews just trying to have a listing with my registered brand and the stock associated with the new listing
Many Thanks

I wonder if i simply just create new listings/ASINS and update the details on the barcode website - assuming the gs1 data is updated frequently with the supply chain/amazon. would that resolve the conflict with error "8541: The value %brandname% specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value Generic for ASIN XYZ in the Amazon catalogue"
