AMAZON SELLER WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE
I have had the worst, absolute worst customers service experience with Amazon Seller chat agents. I have reached out 4 times now because my account was accidentally set to Pro. I changed it same day and requested the cancellation and they said I needed to pay the $39.99 FIRST, and then request a refund. Okay so I did that, now they said my Charge Method is invalid yet I HAVE a charge from Amazon for the $39.99 and they are refusing to acknowledge that, to issue a refund even though they guaranteed one, or to even acknowledge that they accessed my account, took the money, and still dare to say my payment method is invalid. Make it make sense. Now I will have to contest it with my bank, which is fine, I have proof of the money being basically stolen from my account, and proof that they refuse to assist or even acknowledge it so I know I will get it back. But I am just appalled and disgusted by the complete lack of customer service and intelligence exhibited by these CS agents.

It won't happen that fast. I believe you have to wait a set number of days for it to appear on their history. The money wasn't stolen if you accidentally signed up for a professional account.
As far as CS, yes, they are pretty awful most of the time.

I understand your frustration and I've reviewed your account on my end and I see that the card on file is showing active ; sometimes it can take couple of days for the charge to show in your profile and this is why customer service agents couldn't process a refund right away.
Since you already downgraded and the account has a valid card on file, our support team can process the refund ; see if there is no valid payment on your account we cannot process it.
