Verification Nightmare

I requested to change my bank account on the 12 December. As far as I'm aware I did everything that was required, but as of today (17 Jan) I still have 'awaiting verification'. On top of that another issue appeared - I apparently selected the wrong legal entity as part of the account verification (I seem to remember making sure that I put in the correct legal entity but heyho, manybe I'm wrong). When I try to update this, I get an error page which means I can't make any changes until the other issue (the bank account) is verified. This means I'm completely stuck in a vicious circle. I've contacted support and eventually I got a reply yesterday to say that this query has been sent to the internal team but I've not heard anything since. I realise that I'm a very small fish in a very large pond, but a simple email from that team, to say that they are looking into the matter would be nice. Seriously considering closing the account altogether now. If anyone from Amazon is reading this and you think you can help, it's case number 10708670802.

What legal entity did you choose ? ........and if your account is not fully verified yet you will not be able to close it ! - you can only permanently close active accounts.

you cannot change your legal entity( or anything else) whilst the account is being verified anyway.

If/when it fails you ask verification team to open the section allowing you to change ID- thus triggers a new verification- make sure you already have all the legal info they will require.

@Seller_JdIOgrieZoqGK, Amazon cannot complete your account verification because the wrong legal entity type was selected.

You'll need to update this first before proceeding with any further verification steps, including bank account verification.

The partner team informed that they unblocked your Seller Central to proceed now. Here's how to update your legal entity type:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Account Info" in Seller Central
  2. Find the "Business and Contact Information" section
  3. Click "Edit"
  4. Select the correct legal entity type
  5. Review your business details
  6. Click "Submit"

Once this is done, the team can continue with the account verification process.
