Selling my small business - will my Amazon seller account transfer to a new owner??

Hello, I am looking to sell my small Amazon business as the existing business, same company name etc.

Is there anything that i need to be aware of with transferring the existing seller account to a new owner ??

Thoughts and advise ??

Chris.

If it is the same company name then you just need to update the beneficial owners on Amazon to reflect the new beneficial owners of the business.

They will need to provide evidence from companies house to show the change of owners. This is normally a new confirmation statement showing the new shareholding.

The new owners will need to pass verification and it would be a good idea as part of your sale process to ensure they do not have another Amazon account (especially a suspended one) which Amazon could link.

You may want to ask your solicitor for advice on what would happen if the new owners don't pass verification or get the account suspended to ensure no comeback on you.

If you want to open a new Amazon business in the future it maybe linked to your current account and if the new owners get it suspended this could impact any new business you open.

Hello @Seller_9vIy0m25XaQc0,

I am Spencer with Amazon.

I am sharing an article with you regarding the account:

Account Settings FAQ.

There you will see a section called: "Can I transfer my seller account?" with another helpful link.

I hope this helps.

Regards, Spencer

As per account settings a seller account is NOT transferable.

A new owner would have to create a new account losing any accrued feedback/reviews
