Product comes in boxes of 4 packs, can I wrap them rather than use a cardboard box?

Hi all,

I have 64 units to send off however they come from the supplier in boxes of 4 already (so I have 16 cardboard boxes that have 4 units in). Rather than using another carboard box can I just wrap these boxes in black wrapping film or would I need to take each individual unit out of the boxes they are already in and put in another box?

if they are being sold individually, doing as you have suggested risks amazon booking the packs of 4 in as the individual units.

Amazon 'should' scan the barcode on the individual units to both count the units sent in and to allocate them to your account. So as long as the outer box of 4 has no barcodes then it should make them open them to scan the 4 units individually within.

But of course this is Amazon and they may also try to book the 4 boxes individually - but if there are no barcodes to scan I dont see how they will be able to.

You could write in big letters on the outer boxes of 4 'PLEASE OPEN - 4 UNITS WITHIN' or something similar. Or have you tried booking 4 parcels each of 4 units in the workflow (not sure if possible but give it a try).

I suppose at the end of the day you are going to have to make the decision as to which method causes you the most aggravation.
