Has anyone integrated their Amazon SKU label into their label design?

Our product has very little space to apply the FBA Seller SKU label when we are sending inventory to Amazon. It also takes us time to apply the label one by one when preparing a shipment.

On our next manufactured batch of product, we are considering amending our actual product label design to include the amazon SKU label as part of our label, as we don't use the current barcode.

Has anyone else done this? In our mind it will save time and will mean we don't need to cover the design of our current label.

Are there any considerations when doing this such as risk that our SKU barcode could change?

Hi @Seller_W09qpB9aZ3VZB,

To get a bit more context about your question, I took a look at your Hair Loss Supplement. Do you ship the bottles as they are to Amazon, or do you package them in a small bag before shipping? Using a small bag with the FBA label on it could save you from redesigning your packaging entirely. It might also act as an extra protective barrier to ensure the product arrives intact, even if a bottle cap becomes loose during transport. While such issues might not be common, customers may still appreciate the added care.

On another note, I noticed that the front of your bottle says "60 capsules," which matches the unit count of "60" on your product page. However, your main image shows three bottles. If customers receive only one bottle, they might expect three based on the image, leading to potential confusion, refunds, or negative reviews. It could also violate Amazon's image guidelines if the image suggests a different quantity than what is actually sold.

Please don’t take this as criticism; I’m just hoping to help you avoid potential headaches and costs down the line.

Best regards, Michael

Hello @Seller_W09qpB9aZ3VZB!

In regard to your inquiry, yes, you will be able to add Amazon barcode just take in consideration the following:

When printing Amazon barcodes onto labels, make sure that the printed labels match the formatting of the Seller Central generated label:

• Sufficient white space around the Amazon barcode and related text: (0.25 inch on the sides and 0.125 inch on the top and bottom)

• Sufficient white space around the label content and the edges (0.25 inch on the sides and 0.125 inch on the top and bottom)

• ASIN or FNSKU included

• Product name included

• Item condition included

When you are ready to place barcodes on your products, make sure that you do the following:

• Put the correct barcode on each item.

• Cover all other visible barcodes, except for any serial number barcodes or Transparency authentication code labels.

• Make sure the barcode is scannable after applying any prep materials.

• Do not place the barcode on a curve or corner of the package.

• Allow 0.25 inch between the edge of the label and the edge of the packaging.

• Ensure that each item in a case pack has an Amazon barcode and that any barcodes on the case have been removed.

This information is located on this help page.

Any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support channel.

Regards,

JiAlex
